Ebina, a quiet sub-suburb of Tokyo located 50 km from Shinjuku, welcomed its opening of Lalaport Shopping Center at right next to the stations. Lalaport is a major shopping mall brand, developed and operated by Mitsui Fudosan Group.
Ebina Station accommodates three train operators – JR, Odakyu, and Sotesu and thus, among the area, Ebina has been recognized as a major sub-city. The launch of Lalaport will boost its presence further.
Despite the distance from Tokyo, Ebina’s neighboring city – Atsugi accommodates SONY’s research and technology center – a producer of mass renters with relatively high income pool. University campuses are also in the area. In that sense, Ebina is an underrated spot for investors to look on.
