Another Tokyo Bay Development: Mixed-Use Complex in Takeshiba

Tokyo is getting ready for the 2020 Summer Olympics and a number of developments are planned to welcome visitors from all over the world. One of the latest announcements – Tokyo Bay Development in Takeshiba.

A joint venture of Tokyu Land Corporation and Kajima Corporation, a major developer and contractor respectively, founded a company called Albero Grande. This vehicle will be acting as a developer for the project.

The plot, 15,600SQM is located situated right next to Yurikamome Line’s Takeshita Station or 15 minutes walk from Japan Railway and Tokyo Monorail’s Hamamatsucho Station. Tokyo Monorail connects the station to Haneda Airport – allowing an ease of access from/to Haneda Airport.

The development is consisting from 39 story office tower-cum-shopping mall and 21 story condominium. A pedestrian deck from Hamamatsucho Station to the site will also be allocated.

The construction begins from this year and expects to complete in 2019. The land is to be leased for 70 years from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.
